Application Method Application followed by group interview
Entry Requirements You should have achieved a Level 1 beauty qualification or 3 GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent. You must demonstrate proven interest in the industry and have a good reference from your school or equivalent. You should also have a minimum of 80% attendance.
Content / Overview A nationally recognised professional qualification in cosmetic beauty therapy covering practical and theoretical beauty therapy, anatomy and physiology. Topics: manicure, pedicure, deep cleansing facials, make-up, eye treatments, waxing, working in the beauty industry, health and safety, client care and communication, promote products and services to clients, salon reception duties, nail art, head massage and Functional Skills.

Assessment City and Guilds exams (internal), assignment work and practical assessments.
Progression Beauty Therapy City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma or work in salons, department store, hotels or health spas.
Additional Information You should allow for the following additional costs: uniform, equipment, essential book list (to be advised), files and resources at a cost of approximately £520. An education visit cost is included in the additional cost.
All students aged 19 years or over on 1 September in the first year of their course are expected to pay tuition, registration, exam fees and all other course related costs. Some assistance with these costs may be available depending on your circumstances and the latest government funding position. There are normally no tuition, registration or examination fees to pay if you are aged 16-18 on 1 September in the first year of your course and are a British or European Union resident. This does not apply to HNCs/Ds, Foundation Degrees, Degrees or courses that do not attract government funding.
