Application Method Application followed by individual interview
Entry Requirements You should have achieved a Level 1 beauty qualification or 3 GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent. You must demonstrate proven interest in the industry and have a good reference from your school or equivalent. You should also have a minimum of 80% attendance.
Content / Overview A nationally recognised professional qualification designed to provide an understanding of the beuaty industry and theory of the human anatomy at Level 2. Topics: manicure and pedicure, facial massage and skin care, hair removal techniques, health and safety, make-up, customer care and administration, eye treatments.

Assessment Continuous assessment in practical and theoretical work. External theoretical exams, assignments and preparation of portfolio.
Progression Beauty Therapy Level 3 or work in salons, department store, hotels or health spas.
Additional Information You should allow for the following additional costs: uniform, equipment, essential book list (to be advised), files, paper and pens etc.
All students aged 19 years or over on 1 September in the first year of their course are expected to pay tuition, registration, exam fees and all other course related costs. Some assistance with these costs may be available depending on your circumstances and the latest government funding position. There are normally no tuition, registration or examination fees to pay if you are aged 16-18 on 1 September in the first year of your course and are a British or European Union resident. This does not apply to HNCs/Ds, Foundation Degrees, Degrees or courses that do not attract government funding.
