Entry Requirements You should have completed the Supporting Teaching and Learning Apprenticeship.
Content / Overview The Advanced Level Apprenticeship adds more responsibility to the role. You could help plan, carry out and evaluate a wide range of learning activities. You’ll work both alongside the teacher to support classroom activities, and alone with individuals or groups of students. It’s a good stepping-stone to a foundation degree or Higher Level Teaching Assistant training.
Delivery Method Training is delivered in the workplace and an assessor will monitor your progress and conduct assessments in the workplace.
Assessment Continuous assessment throughout the course in the workplace, through the creation of a portfolio of evidence and a technical certificate. An assessor will visit your workplace regularly to assess your progress.

Homework You may have to complete sections of your portfolio outside of College or working hours.
All students aged 19 years or over on 1 September in the first year of their course are expected to pay tuition, registration, exam fees and all other course related costs. Some assistance with these costs may be available depending on your circumstances and the latest government funding position. There are normally no tuition, registration or examination fees to pay if you are aged 16-18 on 1 September in the first year of your course and are a British or European Union resident. This does not apply to HNCs/Ds, Foundation Degrees, Degrees or courses that do not attract government funding.
