Entry Requirements You should be working in the industry and interested in developing your skills. Good GCSEs are an advantage.
Content / Overview These Apprenticeships can be applied across a broad range of sectors and job roles. Good managers and team leaders are essential to the success of any business, so the skills gained on this Apprenticeship are transferable and valuable.
Learning will be tailored to your industry, but it’s likely you’ll be responsible for the delivery of a service, or how other people carry out their work. You could be working as a shift leader, charge hand, section leader, team leader, floor manager, trainee manager, deputy manager, or supervisor.
Delivery Method Training is delivered in the workplace and an assessor will monitor your progress and conduct assessments in the workplace.
Assessment Continuous assessment throughout the course in the workplace, through the creation of a portfolio of evidence and a technical certificate. An assessor will visit your workplace regularly to assess your progress.
Progression Successful completion of this Apprenticeship can you lead you onto the Advanced Apprenticeship in Team Leading.
Homework You may have to complete sections of your portfolio outside of College or working hours.
All students aged 19 years or over on 1 September in the first year of their course are expected to pay tuition, registration, exam fees and all other course related costs. Some assistance with these costs may be available depending on your circumstances and the latest government funding position. There are normally no tuition, registration or examination fees to pay if you are aged 16-18 on 1 September in the first year of your course and are a British or European Union resident. This does not apply to HNCs/Ds, Foundation Degrees, Degrees or courses that do not attract government funding.
