Soundbite: I love all my courses, because I am particularly interested in all of them. I love science and that's the reason I chose BTEC Science and Psychology. Also I like Sociology because it provides an insight into how society works. Guildford College is great, supportive, has a good social environment and the learning and teaching are superb.
Next step:

University to study either midwifery or medicine (I'm taking Biology next).

Ultimate ambition:

To be a hospital specialist midwife or doctor.

I chose to come to Guildford College because the course seemed to suit me; there were many other courses, but Guildford's seemed to be the most professional. The TV studio is brilliant and very high spec. The course leaders are very helpful and are well equipped with knowledge about life outside of college within the media business. There are a variety of activities to do on the course and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to other people. If you put in the effort you will enjoy the course a lot.

Next step: Either university or working at a media firm.
Ultimate ambition: Be a director of photography and make my own avant garde film.

Motor Vehicle Mechanics

I came to see the College on an open day and decided it was the right college for me. I have been here three years and learned a lot – there are good facilities, the teachers are great and you get to do plenty of practical work on cars. I would recommend it – you can achieve a qualification and become a practiced mechanic.

Next step: Work for a garage.
Ultimate ambition: Open my own business in about five years.

Performing Arts

I love that on this course you don't just use digital you use film and are given many opportunities to experiment with different format cameras. You don't just use the studio for projects you can go on location. Being able to use the darkroom is fantastic as well as using Photoshop on the Macs.
