The Charter| outlines the standards and services you can expect us to provide as well as the responsibilities you have to the College as one of our learners. Our primary aim is to enable you to achieve your personal, academic, vocational and professional goals whilst you develop to your maximum potential. We also hope that you will make a useful contribution to our College community.
The staff of the College, our management team and the College Corporation work together to offer a high level of care and commitment. We endeavour to ensure that our standards and quality of provision meets the needs of the individuals, communities and businesses we serve.
We plan to be a local, regional, national and international centre of excellence for lifelong learning and vocational skills. In 2002 we were awarded the first Centre of Vocational Excellence in Travel and Tourism in the south east. Two years later, we were awarded a Centre of Vocational Excellence in Accounting and Finance. We are also the first College to be awarded the national Good Corporation kitemark for business ethics and corporate social responsibility. Other quality awards include Vision 100, Excel-SE and Investor in People.
As a large College with two campuses we are able to cover every area of provision and are keen to support and develop our land-based programmes.
