Activities & Support

All of our courses offer a range of enrichment activities to broaden the academic experience, widen opportunities and engage involvement in the community. The Student Union| organises a whole host of sporting, recreational and charity events throughout the year. Your son or daughter can also sign up for a wide range of free or heavily subsidised sports societies, adventures and trips, as well as getting involved with Charity Week and other fundraisers.

At Guildford College, we offer a comprehensive support system. This includes:

• Course information and advice
• Group and individual tutorials. Tutors also provide a reference point for problems, questions and queries
• Careers information and guidance, help with CVs, interview techniques, applying to university and employment opportunities
• Additional learning support, including specialist tutorials or equipment for dyslexia, sensory impairment or physical difficulties
• Student Services staff can provide advice and information about financial assistance towards travel, childcare, books, equipment and materials and the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)
• Free, confidential counselling and student adviser service
• Support for faiths via the community and our College Chaplain
