These apprenticeships focus on developing the skills and abilities needed to service the millions of households and businesses, which rely on the key utilities of water, gas and electricity.
At Guildford College, apprentices are trained by tutors dedicated to helping them succeed and in passing on their knowledge and skills.
Electrical Installation
Service engineers can work in specialist workshops or in customers' homes, repairing and working on a wide range of equipment. Apprentices will learn the theoretical and practical skills to enable them to install and maintain equipment. An interest and aptitude in electronics is important.
Apprentices will learn how to test and install engineering products. They will have focused practical and theory sessions and access to workshops and machinery.

Plumbing
|
This is a very varied profession for which apprentices will need to master the skills of cutting, bending and jointing pipework of all types, including copper, plastic, steel and iron.
Training will be given on both gas appliances and oil-fuelled systems.
