You’ll get hands-on practical experience and learning in our industry-standard training kitchens, modern restaurant open the public and specialist teaching rooms. Food and restaurant service is an integral part of the programme structure and the working environment of the Park Room Restaurant, open to the public and staffed by students, provides an opportunity to gain vital practical experience and skills.
We offer courses from Level 1, introducing you to the principles of catering and practical kitchen skills, right up to Foundation Degree, where you learn about food and beverage operations, business and financial management.

Average salary
Commis chefs start at around £12,000, rising to £16,000 for section chefs, £22,000 for sous chefs, and £30,000 and more for head chefs.
