If all things mechanical are your thing, and you enjoy working with a variety of materials using hand and machine tools then this course will help prepare you for a career working within the production or service engineering industries.
Learn practical skills in our well-equipped workshops using hand tools, lathes, mills and power tools and fundamentals such as hand fitting techniques, turning, milling, measurement, inspection, health and safety. You will also gain valuable experience in our purpose built computer-aided design room. We have a good record of getting students into jobs and our tutors, who have lots of experience in the industry, will provide you with vital tips and links. There may also be the opportunity of undertaking work placements with local engineering companies.
