Apprenticeship Open Evening is a First for Guildford

Posted on 13 February 2012

The College hosted its first ever Open Evening dedicated just to Apprenticeships on Thursday 9 February.

Over 200 people flocked through the doors to find out about the different types of Apprenticeships offered at both Guildford College and Merrist Wood College, and how an Apprenticeship could work for them or their business.

Both potential students, parents and employers had the opportunity to talk directly with tutors, Services to Business, the Apprenticeship team and the National Apprenticeship Service who supported the evening to find out how an Apprenticeship could work for them.

There was also a chance to listen to a lecture from Principal David Collins CBE who gave an interesting presentation on Apprenticeships and then held an informative question and answers session.

The event proved to be extremely successful and the College will be planning a further range of Apprenticeship activities during 2012.

Apprenticeships are for all age groups over 16, whether you are leaving school and want to get into work or taking a new career direction. Click here for further information. |
