Fees and dates are based on academic year 2019-20 and are intended as a guide only. We will update the fees and dates for 2020-21 as soon as we have them and according to government funding and guidelines.
The Government funds and regulates adult Further Education and skills training in England. They pay a proportion of the cost to deliver the course and expect the student, or a sponsor, to pay the remaining portion. This is referred to as the ‘tuition fees’ and is what we display on our guide. If a course or a learner is not eligible for government funding the Full Cost /international fees will be liable. Please refer to our International fees page for more information.
Please note that the fees for government funded courses relate to ONE academic year only and may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, including changes to Government funding and remission policies, so before enrolling on a course please check with the College for the latest information. The College also reserves the right to close, or not to start any published course.

Content / Overview
This qualification allows you to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills to work in a hospitalty service environment. Specifically you will learn how to maintain a safe, hygienic and secure working environment, work effectively with others as part of a hospitality team and give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation.
Optional units range from Providing a silver service, to preparing and serving wines to resolving customer service problems.
Mandatory units are:- Health and safety, working effectively as part of a team and giving customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
Why Study Here
You will be studying in a friendly and safe environment. Historically the hospitality and catering department have high achievement rates. Your training will take place in the Park Room restaurant and kitchen which is built and run to industry standards. Our team are highly experienced and have a broad breadth of experience between them.
Application followed by individual interview
4 GCSEs at grade 3 (D). English and maths achievement to be at least level 1
Theoretical and practical delivery with some tests.
Homework every week to support the theoretical aspects of the qualification
Ongoing assessment of practical and theoretical aspects of the course. Some tests.
On completion of this course you could progress on to the NVQ Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership.
All students aged 19 years or over on 1 September in the first year of their course are expected to pay tuition, registration, exam fees and all other course related costs. Some assistance with these costs may be available depending on your circumstances and the latest government funding position.
There are normally no tuition, registration or examination fees to pay if you are aged 16-18 on 1 September in the first year of your course and are a British or European Union resident. This does not apply to HNCs/Ds, Foundation Degrees, Degrees or courses that do not attract government funding (identified as 'no fee remission available on this course').
