The Government funds and regulates adult Further Education and skills training in England. They pay a proportion of the cost to deliver the course and expect the student, or a sponsor, to pay the remaining portion. This is referred to as the ‘tuition fees’ and is what we display on our guide. If a course or a learner is not eligible for government funding the Full Cost /international fees will be liable. Please note that the fees for government funded courses relate to ONE academic year only and may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, including changes to Government funding and remission policies, so before enrolling on a course please check with the College for the latest information. The College also reserves the right to close, or not to start any published course.

Content / Overview 

Our accountancy courses are accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians and are designed to provide you with practical accounting and financial skills while developing your grasp of business, giving you comprehensive expertise that you can apply in the real world.

Modules: An Modules: An introduction to accounting, covering basic bookkeeping, basic costing, computerised accounts and working effectively in accounting and finance.

Entry Requirements

You don't need prior formal qualifications to begin studying but you will need to be reasonably literate and numerate. If you have relevant school qualifications, a degree or some accounting experience, you might be able to start at a higher level. You will be required to join the AAT as a student member.

Online exams and computerised projects.


Further Study

Leads onto AAT Level 3 Diploma. A full AAT qualification (Level 4) can lead on to ACCA and CIMA qualifications with some exemptions.


Additional Information

You will need to purchase manuals for the course, this will be advised at enrolment/induction.

Exam fees: £41 per module. Advisory costs: £335 (£92 for AAT annual student membership, £43 one-off AAT admission fee for new students and approx £200 for tutorial books).



All students aged 19 years or over on 1 September in the first year of their course are expected to pay tuition, registration, exam fees and all other course related costs. Some assistance with these costs may be available depending on your circumstances and the latest government funding position.

There are normally no tuition, registration or examination fees to pay if you are aged 16-18 on 1 September in the first year of your course and are a British or European Union resident. This does not apply to HNCs/Ds, Foundation Degrees, Degrees or courses that do not attract government funding (identified as 'no fee remission available on this course').
