Halls of Residence
With just over 100 residents on our picturesque country campus, Merrist Wood provides a supportive community for students living away from home for the first time.
The Halls of Residence at Merrist Wood consists of single study bedrooms with shared showers, toilets and sitting room facilities. WiFi and/or a computer network point is also available in every bedroom.
All students studying a course at Level 2 or above, including degree level programmes are welcome to apply for a place. Some places are reserved for students under the age of 18 who must go home at weekends.

What else is available on-site?
The Halls of Residence are managed by the Head of Student Accommodation and a small team, including Wardens who live adjacent to the student accommodation. There is always someone on duty to help, 24 hours a day and there is also a published code of conduct.
Woody’s is the main social area which is open weekdays and Sunday evenings to enable students to meet with friends or watch television. Woody’s Bar is open in the evening for snacks and soft drinks.
Evening activities are also regularly organised by the Wardens whilst Pool and Table Tennis are normally available.
